Susquehanna Valley Veterinary Clinic News: 9/2/21 Mask update: Beginning Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 we will be opened for clients to be able to accompany their furry loved ones inside with our COVID-19 safety guidelines:
Masks are required for everyone regardless of vaccination status.
We understand that some people cannot wear masks and/or cannot be vaccinated for health and other reasons. However, we want to take care of your pets to the best of our ability without jeopardizing your well-being and our staff’s well-being. If you’re unable to wear a mask and are unvaccinated, we will come to the car and get your pet.
While in the building, please maintain social distancing when possible.
We will continue to offer curbside service for visits in addition to food and medicine pickups if you prefer. Just call us from the parking lot and let us know!
Please do not enter the clinic if:
You are not wearing a mask that completely covers your nose and mouth.
You have any COVID-19 symptoms or been around anyone in the past 14 days that has had COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19
You are immuno compromised or have concerns. We will come out to you!
Thank you in advance for being understanding and patient with this process and for following the guidelines we have set in order to keep our doctors, staff and clients safe and to keep our clinic open to care for your fur babies. Note: Due to our doctors’ time being in high demand and with our schedule filling up with healthy pet visits several weeks out, we ask that you be respectful of our time and the emergencies that need to be seen. Please show up at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. As always, please allow 24 hours for medicine pickups as this allows ample time for the doctor to review the request and fill the medication. We appreciate all your support & patience while navigating these difficult times. Thank you!

3/2/21 We are constantly monitoring the COVID situation and at this time will continue curbside service. Many factors will determine when we will safely open back up to allow our clients inside the hospital including CDC recommendations, current local health guidelines and numbers, and all of our employees having access to the vaccine. Thank you for your patience!
12/22/20 Thank you all for your continued support during the COVID pandemic! We could not continue to serve all of your furry loved ones without your patience and understanding during this difficult time. We realize this is cumbersome and nobody wants it "back to normal" more than we do but at this time, COVID Protocols are still in effect and include: •Curbside Service •Please wear a mask when our staff approaches your vehicle •When you arrive for an appointment, PLEASE have a sturdy crate for any small dogs or cats and an appropriately adjusted collar and leash that properly restrains your bigger dogs so that we can maintain proper control over your furry loved ones at all times. •If you are COVID positive, have any symptoms, been exposed to a COVID positive person, awaiting COVID test results, please reschedule your appointment or have someone else bring your pet to us We are trying our best to get everyone in as soon as possible and apologize for those that we must send to the ER clinic when there are no other options. We also realize how frustrating it is when our phone lines are tied up but certainly appreciate your understanding. Please call 223-322-7894 or email us at [email protected] to reach us. Thank you and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all! Susquehanna Valley Veterinary Clinic

3/19/20 COVID-19 Update: For the safety of you, our staff, and your furry loved ones, we are requiring clients to please stay in your cars and pay over the phone for your visits. Staff members will transport your furry loved ones to and from the car and confirm what’s treatment is being done with you. This takes a tremendous amount of stress and cleaning time off of our staff. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we get through this difficult time. Thank you! 3/17/20 As the COVID-19 situation evolves, so will our response. As a result, we will implement the following additional measures effective 3/18/20:
Further minimizing person-to-person contact: - Appointment Procedure: Please stay in your car and call us at 717-737-8669 at Camp Hill Animal Hospital or 223-322-7894 at Susquehanna Valley Veterinary Clinic or knock on the window after you arrive for your appointment if you don’t have a phone. Our staff will advise you when we are ready to have you either bring your pet in or have a staff member take your pet in for you to treat your pet. If you accompany your pet inside for the visit, please touch as little as possible and avoid hand shaking. Staff members may be wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, masks, and gowns. After your appointment is completed, please note that WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING CASH at this time. We can take care of payment inside but we ask that you touch as little as possible at all times. Follow up and additional appointments will also be required by phone and not at the reception area.
- Prescription Food and Medicine Pick-Up Procedure: We are asking that you please give us 24 hour notification in order to get your food and medication requests ready for pick-up. Please stay in your car and call us at 717-737-8669 at Camp Hill Animal Hospital or 223-322-7894 at Susquehanna Valley Veterinary Clinic or knock on the window after you arrive. Please pay over the phone at this time via credit card in advance as to not have you check out at reception. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING CASH at this time. Our receptionists will place your pet’s food and/or medication outside the front door if you paid over the phone. If you do not have the ability to call us from your car, we can take care of payment inside, but we ask that you touch as little as possible at all times. Follow up and additional appointments will also be required by phone and not at the reception area.
Currently doing and will continue to do: - We are minimizing all person-to-person physical contact. We have asked our team to refrain from shaking hands. - If your pet is hospitalized, we are limiting visits to once a day. - We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all high touch surfaces throughout our facility. - Exam rooms will continue to be disinfected between patients with a healthcare grade disinfectant. - If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness please reschedule routine appointments and have someone else bring in your pet for more urgent needs
Thank you for your patience as we navigate these uncharted waters. We are here for you and in this together!
